Nestled among the forested hills of Nam Phong District, Khon Kaen, Wat Tham Pha Daeng Nimit serves as a revered sanctuary for mindful contemplation and spiritual retreat. The design and construction of the 2-Storey Meditation Dormitory at the "Sunyata" Meditation Center emerged from a singular guiding principle: to craft a serene dwelling that fosters deep meditation, embraces minimalist restraint, and embodies the Buddhist philosophy of "Sunyata" (Emptiness). Design Philosophy: Architecture of Letting Go The concept of Sunyata signifies pure emptiness and release from attachments. The design consciously avoids superfluous ornamentation, turning its focus outward to the living landscape
